Image Color Extractor
A color extractor analyzes an uploaded image and surfaces the dominant colors as a usable palette complete with hex codes. Designers use it to build brand palettes from a hero image, developers to extract theme colors for dynamic UIs, and marketers to match creative assets across campaigns. The tool quantizes pixel colors into clusters and returns the most representative swatches so you get a palette that reflects the actual image rather than random samples. It bridges inspiration and implementation by turning a photo into actionable color values. The extractor reads the image into an in-memory pixel buffer, then applies a color quantization algorithm such as median cut or k-means clustering to group similar colors into clusters. Each cluster's average color becomes a candidate palette entry, weighted by the number of pixels it represents so dominant colors win out over rare accents. Results are sorted by frequency and rendered as swatches alongside their hex, RGB, and HSL values. Optional filters exclude near-duplicate colors, very dark or very bright outliers, and overly transparent pixels.
