Summarize long articles, documents, and text into concise summaries. Choose your preferred length and focus area. Follow these steps: 1. Enter your OpenAI API key. 2. Paste the text you want to summarize. 3. Choose summary length: short (1-2 sentences), medium (paragraph), or long (multiple paragraphs). 4. Select the focus: general, key points, or detailed analysis. 5. Click summarize to generate your summary. Tips: For best results, use texts between 500-5000 words. The "key points" focus extracts the most important information. Use "short" length for quick overviews, "long" for comprehensive summaries. The tool passes your full text to a language model that has been trained to compress information without losing key entities or causal relationships. The model encodes the document into a latent representation, then decodes a shorter version that scores well on coverage and coherence metrics. You can choose extractive mode, which pulls the most important sentences verbatim, or abstractive mode, which writes fresh sentences that paraphrase the original.
