Universal Unit Converter
A unit converter translates measurements between units within and across systems, covering length, weight, volume, temperature, speed, area, energy, and more. Travelers use it to switch miles to kilometers, cooks to scale recipes between metric and imperial, and engineers to verify load calculations. The tool applies precise conversion factors so results are accurate to many decimal places. It eliminates the memorization of dozens of constants and removes the arithmetic errors that come from doing the math by hand. The converter stores each unit category as a table of conversion factors relative to a base unit, such as meters for length or kilograms for weight. When you convert a value, the tool multiplies your input by the source unit's factor to express it in the base unit, then divides by the target unit's factor to express it in the target. Temperature requires a special case because Celsius, Fahrenheit, and Kelvin use offset scales, so the tool applies linear offset and slope transformations instead of simple multiplication. Results are rounded to a configurable precision so you do not see meaningless trailing digits.
